Real Seoul Kitchen (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a personal recipe blog run by a family based in Seoul. This page explains what information we collect when you visit realseoulkitchen.com, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about it.
What We Collect
When you leave a comment or rate a recipe: your name, email address (never published or shared), the comment text, and an optional star rating. We also store your IP address and browser information to help detect spam.
When you contact us through the contact form: your name, email address, and message, so we can reply to you.
Automatically, as you browse:
- Google Analytics — anonymized statistics about which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located (country/city level), device type, and how visitors found the site.
- Google Search Console — data about how our pages appear in Google Search results. This does not identify individual visitors.
- Post Views Counter — a small cookie used only to avoid counting the same visitor’s page view twice. It does not identify you personally.
- Google AdSense — if ads are shown on this site, Google may set cookies to serve ads and measure how they perform, and may use them to show ads based on your visits here and to other sites. You can control ad personalization anytime in your Google Ads Settings.
Cookies
We use cookies for: (1) counting page views without double-counting the same visitor, (2) remembering your name/email if you check “remember me” when leaving a comment, so you don’t have to retype it next time, and (3) if ads are shown on this site, Google AdSense cookies used to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing.
How We Use This Information
To publish and moderate comments, respond to questions sent through the contact form, understand which recipes people find most useful, and keep the site running smoothly.
Sharing With Third Parties
We share data only with Google (Analytics, Search Console, and — if ads are shown on this site — AdSense) as described above. We do not sell your information to anyone. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data. If ads on this site are personalized, you can opt out or adjust ad personalization anytime in your Google Ads Settings.
How Long We Keep Data
Comments are kept until you ask us to remove them or until the post is deleted. Analytics data is kept according to Google’s default retention settings.
Your Rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you (for example, a comment you left) by emailing us at the address below.
Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
